Mission Statement
Our mission is to work as an educational community to empower and acknowledge the uniqueness of every learner by creating an individualized pathway to educational and social success.
The New America School-New Mexico
The New America School-New Mexico (NAS-NM) is a public charter high school dedicated to serving a unique population – students who have not yet found their educational home, a place to stay and earn their diploma, even with breaks in their education.
We are a fully accredited, publicly funded high school. Our highly qualified staff provides intensive English language instruction and a rigorous academic curriculum to help students fulfill their dream of a better future.
We believe educational opportunity is the most significant thing that can change not only a student's life, but that of their families and children through increased earning potential and better educational opportunities.
At NAS-NM, we offer a schedule from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm to meet student and family needs. The campus is open Monday through Thursday from 7:45 am – 4:30 pm. Therre are Social-Emotional Learning Fridays throughout the year, engaging students in learning about taking care of themselves, their families, and the community through hands-on activities and projects.
